Review by hotel critic
Our recent stay at Highlands Inn Lodge was a delightful escape into the natural beauty of North Carolina. the cozy room with a fireplace was a perfect retreat after exploring the nearby Nantahala National Forest and Chattahoochee National Forest. the friendly staff guided us to charming local eateries and art galleries just a short stroll away on Main Street. Although the property showed hints of its age, the inviting terrace and the promise of upcoming renovations gave us hope for even better experiences in the future. Despite minor hiccups, like a delayed room change, the staff's attentiveness and the picturesque surroundings made up for any shortcomings. As a food critic with a penchant for winemaking, I appreciate the potential that Highlands Inn Lodge holds with its on-site restaurant and spa tub. the promise of a daily continental breakfast and a welcoming garden make me eager to return, perhaps with my spouse for a romantic weekend or with my sons for a nature-filled family getaway.
